Farmer-leaders in Southern and Central Mindanao Regions proudly stand in front of the newly opened joint offices of National Filipino Farmers’ Seed Network (NFFSN) and Agro-Eco Philippines in Green Meadows Subdivision, Davao City.
“This move aims to make our lobbying activities on farmers’ right to seed more effective and efficient in the economic and political center of Mindanao – Davao City,” says Ramer Tandoy, Chairperson of NFFSN.
“Establishing a physical office is our logical response to provide the increasing no. farmer-leaders (most of whom are women) in Southern Mindanao with free, safe and conducive venue for meetings and planning, and to address the increasing demand for organic products in Davao City, “ explains Jun Galenzoga, Coordinator of Agro-Eco Philippines in the region.
The front of the office will be transformed into a One-Stop Shop for Organic Products. Watch out for the opening of “MALLING-KAWAZ” Store on November 30, the 157th birthday of Gat Andres Bonifacio, Hero of the Filipino Working Class.
